Measure in two minutes
You need a soft tape measure and a mirror. If you only have a rigid tape, use a piece of string and lay it against a ruler afterwards.
- Waist — measure at your natural waist, just above the hip bones. Keep the tape level and snug, but do not pull it tight or hold your breath in.
- Hips — measure around the fullest part of your seat, usually about 8 inches below the waist, with your feet together.
- Measure over bare skin or thin underwear, standing normally, in the afternoon rather than first thing in the morning.
- Write both numbers down before you look at the chart — deciding your size first and then measuring defeats the point.
