Absorbency & protection
What a pair actually holds, and where the honest limits are.
How much liquid can DryGuard hold?
Each pair absorbs up to 30 ml — around six teaspoons, or a full release for most people with stress or urge leaks. Coughs, sneezes, laughs and lifting are handled without a trace.
How many pads is that equivalent to?
Roughly two to three light bladder pads. The difference is that the liquid is pulled sideways into a wide core rather than sitting in one spot against the skin.
Will it leak through onto my clothes?
Not within capacity. The outer layer is a breathable waterproof membrane, so liquid held in the core cannot pass to the outside. Leaks at the leg or waist edge almost always mean the size is too small.
Can I wear DryGuard overnight?
For light to moderate night-time leaks, yes. For heavy overnight flow, keep a mattress protector for the first fortnight while you learn your own pattern — 30 ml is a daytime-grade capacity, and we would rather say that than oversell it.
Does it control odour?
Yes. The core locks liquid away from the air and the fabric is treated to stop odour-causing bacteria multiplying. Rinsing after wear keeps that working long term.
Can I use it for period leaks too?
Many customers do for light days and spotting. It is designed and tested for bladder leaks, so heavy menstrual flow is outside what we claim.
Does it work for faecal incontinence?
No. DryGuard is designed for urinary leaks only. Please speak to your GP or continence nurse about products suited to bowel incontinence.
Is it a medical device?
No. It is underwear that manages leaks. We make no medical claims and it is not a treatment for incontinence — pelvic floor therapy and medical advice remain worth pursuing alongside it.
Comfort, fabric & discretion
What it feels like to wear and whether anyone can tell.
Is it visible under clothes?
The absorbent core is under 3 mm thick with tapered edges, so there is no visible line under leggings, jeans or a dress. Nude and black are the least visible under light fabrics.
Does it crinkle or rustle?
No. There is no plastic film in the construction — the waterproof layer is a soft laminated membrane, so it is silent when you move.
What is it made of?
A cotton-rich face layer against the skin, a wicking layer, a super-absorbent core and a breathable waterproof outer. The fabric is dermatologist-tested for skin contact.
Will it irritate sensitive skin?
It is designed for exactly that problem. Customers moving over from disposables often report elastic rashes and irritation settling within a couple of weeks, because the cotton face dries quickly instead of trapping heat against the skin.
Does it feel wet after a leak?
There is a brief moment of dampness before the wicking layer moves the liquid into the core, then it feels dry again. Most customers say the sensation is much less noticeable than a saturated pad.
What colours are available?
Blush pink, plum, nude, navy and black. Multi-pair bundles can be all one colour or an assorted mix — you choose at checkout.
Sizing & fit
Getting the fit right the first time, and fixing it free if not.
Which size should I order?
Order your usual underwear size, guided by your waist measurement first. Sizes run XXS to XXXL, covering waists from 23 to 45 inches.
What if I am between sizes?
Size up. The core absorbs best when it sits flat rather than stretched thin, and a relaxed waistband is more comfortable across a full day.
Do you offer plus sizes?
Yes, to XXXL — waists to 45 inches, hips to 54 inches, with the same core and gusset width as every other size.
Is it suitable after childbirth or a C-section?
Yes. The high waistband is designed to sit above a scar rather than across it. Order one size up in the early weeks.
What if the size is wrong when it arrives?
Email support@buydryguard.com with your order number and the size you need. We ship the replacement the same week, free, and you do not return worn pairs.
Where is the full size chart?
On our sizing guide page, with waist, hip and approximate dress size for every size we make, plus how to measure yourself properly.
Washing & durability
The four-step routine, and the one mistake that ruins a pair.
How do I wash DryGuard?
Rinse in cold water after wearing, machine wash cold on a gentle cycle with your normal detergent, then hang to dry. That is the whole routine.
Can I use fabric softener?
No — this is the one thing that genuinely damages the product. Softener coats the absorbent fibres and slows how fast liquid is pulled away from the skin. The same applies to bleach and dryer sheets.
Can I tumble dry them?
Low heat occasionally is survivable, but hang drying is what keeps the waistband elastic and the membrane intact for the full 200 cycles.
How long does a pair last?
Tested to 200+ wash cycles with no measurable loss of absorbency — roughly two years of rotating a six-pair set daily.
Can I wash them with the rest of my laundry?
Yes, once rinsed. Cold gentle cycle with towels or everyday cottons is fine. Keep them away from anything with hooks or zips that can snag the fabric.
How many pairs do I need?
Six is the point where laundry timing stops being a consideration: one on, one in the wash, the rest in the drawer. Two pairs works if you wash every other day.
Ordering, shipping & discretion
What arrives, how fast, and what it says on the box.
Is the packaging discreet?
Yes. Plain unmarked mailer with no branding, no product images and no description of the contents on the label.
How long does delivery take?
US orders arrive in 3–5 business days; international orders in 7–12. You get a tracking number by email within 24 hours of dispatch.
Is shipping free?
Free on the 6-pair and 10-pair bundles. Smaller orders carry a flat $6.95 shipping charge shown before you pay.
What appears on my bank statement?
The descriptor reads DRY GUARD CO — nothing about incontinence or the product itself.
Is my payment secure?
Card details are captured inside Stripe's own hosted payment form and never touch our servers. The whole site is served over HTTPS.
Will I be enrolled in a subscription?
No. Every order is a single one-time charge. There is no auto-ship, no trial that converts, and no recurring billing of any kind.
Can I change my order after placing it?
Email support@buydryguard.com within a few hours and we will amend the size, colour or address if it has not shipped yet.
Returns, refunds & support

Do I have to return the underwear?
